Special Statement
Statement as of 6:00 PM EDT on March 31, 2015

... Strong wind gusts into early this evening...

The combination of a cold front moving across the region and deep
mixing due to heating will keep very strong winds in place through
sunset. Wind gusts to between 40 and 50 mph will be possible
especially across the higher elevations and within any light
showers along the Interstate 64 corridor. The winds should
finally diminish shortly after dark. Motorists should be alert for
strong winds over the next hour or two especially high profile
vehicles traveling across the higher elevations.
