The Flood Warning continues for the Blackwater river above Franklin * until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 5:00 PM Saturday the stage was 13.0 feet * minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 12.0 feet * forecast... the river will continue rising to near 13.5 feet by Sunday afternoon. The river will then begin to slowly fall... dropping below flood stage by Wednesday evening. This river level is comparable to a previous crest of 13.4 feet on Nov 15 2006.

A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until noon EST Sunday.
The next high tide cycles occur at 523 PM at Duck North Carolina... 621 PM at the Chesapeake Bay bridge Tunnel and 709 PM EST at Sewells Point. Water levels referenced to mean lower low water... are expected to peak between 5 to 5.6 feet at Duck North Carolina... 4.5 to 5.0 feet at Sewells Point and 4.4 to 5.0 feet at the Chesapeake Bay bridge Tunnel. These values result in minor flooding at all locations.
Minor flooding will still be possible around the time of high tide again Sunday morning.
