Statement as of 3:30 PM EST on November 14, 2009
... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until noon EST
Sunday...
A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until noon EST Sunday.
This next high tide will occur at 719 PM at Gloucester... at
Windmill Point and 1130 PM at Lewisetta. Water levels referenced
to mean lower low water are expected to be from 4.5 to 4.9 feet
at Gloucester... and 3.0 to 3.4 feet at Windmill Point and 3.4 to
3.9 feet at Lewisetta. These levels will result in minor to near
moderate flooding.
Minor flooding will still be possible around the time of high
tide again Sunday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
