In southwest Utah... southern mountains.
* Until 10 PM MDT this evening
* an extremely moist airmass will remain in place across central and southern Utah this afternoon and evening. Expect numerous showers and thunderstorms across south central and southeast Utah this afternoon and evening. These slow moving storms will be capable of producing very heavy rain resulting in an elevated flash flood threat through this evening.
* Anyone planning outdoor activities in the watch area this afternoon and evening should be aware of the flash flood risk and avoid locations particularly prone to flooding. Be prepared to move to higher ground quickly if flash flooding is observed or warnings are issued.
