Statement as of 3:00 PM MST on March 02, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM MST

* affected area... the Wasatch Plateau and Book Cliffs... and the
central mountains of Utah.

* Snow accumulations... storm total snow accumulations of 10 to 20
inches by Tuesday afternoon... with locally higher amounts

* Timing... snow will continue into the evening hours across the
area. This snow may taper off for a time overnight before
redeveloping Tuesday morning. Snow will end for good by late
Tuesday afternoon.

* Impacts... winter driving conditions can be expected on area
roadways including Highway 6 over soldiers Summit and the
higher passes of I-70 and I-15 across central Utah.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that snow accumulations
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads. Use caution while driving.
