The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued an
* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
central Cook County in northeast Illinois...
eastern DuPage County in northeast Illinois...
* until 815 am CDT...
* at 515 am CDT... NWS Doppler radar indicated between 1 and 2 inches
of rain had fallen during the past hour in an area generally between
the I-290 and I-55 corridors. A trained spotter reported 3 to 4
inches of water on I-55 in low lying areas between Ashland and
Cicero.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Heavy rain will result in ponding of water on roads... viaducts...
underpasses... and other low lying areas. Do not drive into flooded
areas and keep children away from flood waters.
