A combination of high temperatures with high relative humidity will produce widespread heat index values of 110 to 115 degrees across the Rio Grande Valley this afternoon. Overnight low temperatures will only lower to near 80.

Cramps or in extreme cases heat exhaustion and heat stroke can result from prolonged exposure to these oppressive conditions. Please take the responsibility of checking on people who may be at risk today and Monday.
