A band of showers and thunderstorms associated with a cold front extending from near Trinity to Navasota to near Columbus will continue to move rapidly southeast. This front will reach a Shepherd to near Houston to a near davevang line close to sunrise and probably reach the coastline by mid morning. Expect gusty winds to near 30 mph from the northwest upon frontal passage. Rainfall amounts will be from 1/4 to 1 inch.
