* at 206 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
persistent moderate to heavy rain associated with the rain bands
from Tropical Storm Dolly. Rainfall rates of up to two inches per
hour from these bands will produce flooding of streets and
roadways and low lying areas. Arroyos and small streams may fill
but are not expected to spill over there banks. The rain is
expected to persist through the early morning hours as the center
of Dolly moves slowly west.
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the Road.
The water depth may be too great to allow you to cross safely.
Don't become a statistic. Turn around... don't drown!

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

areas... Brooks... coastal Cameron... coastal Willacy... Hidalgo...
inland Cameron... inland Willacy... Jim Hogg... Kenedy... Starr
and Zapata.
* Through Thursday evening
* with Hurricane Dolly expected to continue to move further inland
tonight into Thursday... widespread rainfall amounts of 8 to 10
inches can be expected across deep south Texas over the next
couple of days. With the slow movement of the storm... isolated
totals of 10 to 15 inches of rainfall is possible across
portions of the lower Rio Grande Valley.
* Residents... particularly those in flood prone areas... as well
as those living near small streams and creeks... should be
prepared to move to higher ground.
A Flash Flood Watch means that inland freshwater flooding is
possible during the next 24 to 36 hours. Residents living in
flood prone areas should take action to protect property.
