Widespread showers...and a few thunderstorms...will persist over the South Plains region of West Texas through 6 am. Rainfall rates will continue to be on the order of one tenth to one quarter of an inch per hour at most locations...but localized rates of up to one inch per hour are possible...especially over the rolling plains. Motorists across the area should be prepared for wet weather conditions and possible ponding of water in low lying areas.
