... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 3 PM CST this afternoon...
A coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 3 PM CST this afternoon.
.Northerly winds across Galveston Bay produced flooding on the Bayside of the island and peninsula this morning but these elevated tide levels should drop as the Ebb tide occurs this afternoon. Any flooding on roads in the Jamaica Beach area should be receding quickly.
High tide occurred earlier this morning and tide levels will continue to slowly drop during the day. The main impacts will be beach flooding and minor flooding of low lying coastal roads.
A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding was occurring. Coastal residents should avoid driving through flooded roadways as the water may hide damage to the roadway or Road bed.
