The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River near Neches, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 730 am Saturday the stage was 16.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 16.7 feet by
Sunday morning then begin falling.
* Impact... at 18.0 feet... expect moderate to severe flooding of river
bottoms with some camps and access roads flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River near Alto, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 am Saturday the stage was 18.8 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 19.0 feet by
Wednesday morning. Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 19.0 feet... preparations should be completed for a
moderate flood. Barns and farm buildings near the river will be
threatened by high water. In addition, ranchers should have
completed moving cattle and equipment to higher ground.

* at 809 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain due
to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Athens... Teague... Fairfield... Chandler... Malakoff... Kerens...
Frankston... Wortham... Brownsboro... Berryville... Trinidad... Coffee
City... Caney City... Fairfield Lake State Park... Log Cabin...

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until noon CDT today...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* all of north and central Texas

* until noon CDT today

* additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible.

* Soils are saturated across the watch area. Any additional
heavy rain will runoff quickly and result in flash flooding.
In addition... heavy rains will only aggravate ongoing river
and lake flooding across the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy
rain which may lead to flash flooding. You should monitor the
latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be prepared
to take action should flash flood warnings be issued for your
area.
