A cold dome of high pressure has settled into south central Texas this evening. Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to dip into the mid and upper 30s over much of south central Texas by sunrise Tuesday. A few low lying areas could briefly approach freezing by sunrise along with patchy frost developing. Residents of south central Texas may want to consider covering or bringing tender plants indoors as a precaution.
