... Winter is not over yet..
A strong storm will affect the panhandles Friday and Saturday. Cold
air will move south across the panhandles Friday afternoon and
Friday night. This cold air will combine with low level moisture to
bring snow to the region Friday night and Saturday.
Some snow accumulation along with very strong north winds will cause
areas of blowing and drifting snow... making traveling difficult. At
this time... it appears the best chance of accumulating snowfall will
be across the Oklahoma Panhandle and the northern Texas Panhandle.
In addition... wind chill readings may fall into the single digits
early Saturday morning across much of the area.
Uncertainty remains with regards to the strength and track of this
storm... so future forecasts may have significant changes.
