* Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams in...
northeastern Guadalupe County in south central Texas...
southeastern Hays County in south central Texas...
southwestern Caldwell County in south central Texas...

* until 230 PM CDT

* at 1133 am CDT... emergency management reported flooding in San
Marcos... Martindale... and Luling.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Marcos... Luling... Kyle... Martindale... Uhland... Staples...
Fentress... Maxwell... Stairtown... Joliet... Reedville and Redwood.

Flood waters are moving down the San Marcos river from San Marcos to
Luling. The flood crest is expected to reach Luling by Monday
morning. Runoff from rain overnight is moving down the San Marcos
river and flooding will continue in eastern Hays... northeastern
Guadalupe... and western Caldwell counties. No more rain is expected
today.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... highways and underpasses in urban areas.
Additionally... country roads and farmlands along the banks of
creeks... streams and other low lying areas are subject to flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
