Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms continue to move northeastward along and east of the Interstate 35 corridor this morning. A few stronger cells are located near Waco and are moving northeast around 25 mph. This activity will be capable of producing brief heavy rain and cloud to ground lightning. Elsewhere...light drizzle and mist are possible along with some patchy fog. Scattered showers will be possible across all areas of north and central Texas throughout the morning. Skies will remain cloudy with temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

* Flood stage is 30 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is expected to remain around 34.5 feet for the
next several days. Additional rises are likely with weekend
rainfall.

across north central Texas this weekend. The heavy rain will
develop and affect the western portions of the area this
afternoon... with the activity gradually spreading eastward
tonight and into Sunday. The soil is already saturated... so any
additional heavy rainfall will cause flash flooding.

* Widespread rainfall of 1 to 3 inches are expected across all
of north central Texas. Higher amounts of 2 to 4 inches are
expected in the areas mainly north and west of the dfw
metroplex where localized amounts of up to 6 inches are
possible.
