Freeze Warning
Statement as of 11:39 PM CST on November 16, 2009
... Freeze warning remains in effect until 9 am CST Tuesday...
A freeze warning remains in effect until 9 am CST Tuesday for the
southeast Texas Panhandle.
Light winds and clear skies will result in strong radiational cooling
conditions tonight. Low temperatures are forecast to range from the
upper teens in the western panhandles to the upper 20s in the
southeast Texas Panhandle. All counties in the Texas and Oklahoma
panhandles are expected to see freezing temperatures tonight but the
southeast Texas Panhandle has yet to experience a widespread hard
freeze this season.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A freeze warning means sub freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
