Very strong northwest winds 25 to 30 mph... with gusts between 35 and 40 mph are expected throughout the day today. Winds should diminish to between 10 and 20 mph by later this evening..

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Boaters should use extra caution when venturing onto area lakes.
