... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning...
The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.
Moist Gulf air near the surface and drier air aloft has allowed for just enough radiational cooling to form dense fog across the advisory area. Visibilities are expected to lower at or below a quarter of a mile along and east of the I-35 corridor in an area of south central Texas generally east and south of a line from San Antonio to Taylor to Lexington..
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
