A coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM CST this
afternoon.

Bay levels continue to be around 1 foot to a foot and a quarter
above normal and around 2 feet mean sea level around high tide. A
few of the low lying spots and roads along the Bay Side of the
barrier islands will also become flooded during high tide. Some
typically susceptible areas include Laguna shores Road in Flour
Bluff... as well as some low Bayfront roads at Ingleside by the
Bay in San Patricio County and Indianola in Calhoun County.
Alternate routes of travel may be necessary.

A high tide will occur at 1120 PM CST tonight at Port Aransas.
The next high tide at Port O'Connor will occur at 308 am CST
Wednesday morning.

In addition to the coastal flooding... there will be a moderate
risk of rip currents today. The incoming large swells and north
to northeast winds will produce dangerous rip current conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Driving on area beaches is not recommended today and tomorrow due
to the high tidal levels. Camping on the beach is discouraged as
well.

Swimming and other marine-related activities are highly
discouraged due to the threat from heavy surf and rip currents.
Heavy surf and rip currents pose a danger to anyone in the water.

If you are caught in a rip current... do not panic. Escape the
current by swimming in a direction following the shoreline until
you are free from the rip current.
