The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas...
Shelby County in eastern Texas...
Angelina County in eastern Texas...
San Augustine County in eastern Texas...

* until 1130 PM CDT

* at 724 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a severe line of
thunderstorms that will produce flash flooding. This line was
located from near Timpson and Nacogdoches onto near Lufkin Texas.
Expect rainfall amounts between one and three inches with this
line of severe thunderstorms. Soils remain saturated from previous
rainfall and this will result in the water quickly running off
which will produce flash flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lufkin... Nacogdoches... center... Diboll... Hudson... Huntington... San
Augustine... Logansport... Tenaha... Timpson... Garrison... Joaquin...
Douglass... Patroon... Melrose... Trawick... Neuville... Pollok... Etoile

The Flood Warning continues for
the Attoyac Bayou near Chireno, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 930 am Monday the stage was 15.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14 feet.
* Forecast... The Bayou will continue to fall to a stage of 14.7 feet
by Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... expect lowland flooding for the next several
days of the heavily wooded floodplain. Ranchers that have cattle
and equipment near the river should move them to higher ground.

the Angelina river near Lufkin, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 am Monday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 12.4 feet
by Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... lowland flooding will continue to slowly
diminish over the next several days.
