Nowcast | as of 12:47 PM CDT on April 26, 2015

Scattered showers and thunderstorms have developed southwest of a Mineral Wells to Hillsboro to Mart line...and were moving northeast at 60 mph. These storms and showers should continue to spread northeast through mid afternoon with additional development occurring along and west of a Breckenridge to Waco line as well. The atmosphere will become more unstable by mid afternoon and some severe storms are expected to develop...mainly west of the Interstate 35 and 35w corridor. Those attending outdoor activities this afternoon...especially west of Interstate 35...should stay alert for approaching storms and move to shelter when thunder is heard or lightning seen. Elsewhere...mid and high clouds will be increasing this afternoon as temperatures warm into the low and mid 80s.
