A band of showers and thunderstorms associated with a cold front extending from near Livingston to Houston to Needville to Edna will continue to move rapidly southeast. This front will reach the coast close to Matagorda Peninsula around 7 am and near High Island from about 8 to 830 am. Expect gusty winds to near 30 mph from the northwest upon frontal passage. Rainfall amounts will be from 1/4 to 3/4 inch.
