... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
noon CST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from midnight
tonight to noon CST Friday.

* Timing... accumulation of snow beginning near or shortly after
midnight tonight and persisting through Friday morning.

* Snowfall... 1 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts. The
heaviest amounts are most likely to fall across the southern
Texas Panhandle from Farwell and Friona to Tulia and Silverton.
The lightest amounts are most likely to occur in the southern
South Plains from Denver City to Post.

* Main impact... snow covered and icy roadways will result in
hazardous travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
