Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 2:30 AM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon CST today...

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for light freezing rain and sleet... which is in
effect until noon CST today.

* Event... areas of light freezing rain and sleet will continue
moving northeast across portions of northeast Texas and
southwest Arkansas... resulting in light ice accumulations of up
to several hundredths of an inch.

* Timing... the light freezing rain and sleet will continue through
mid-morning before changing over to rain as surface temperatures
climb above freezing.

* Impact... light ice accumulations are expected on elevated
objects such as bridges and overpasses... as well as some trees
and power lines. This light accumulation of ice will result in
hazardous driving conditions... especially on bridges and overpasses.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow or ice
covered roads and limited visibility. Use caution while driving.
