At 615 PM...the National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a area of widely scattered showers 50 miles wide extending along a line from Jacksonville Texas...to Kilgore...to Atlanta...to just east of Texarkana. The back edge of this initial line of rainfall stretches from Tyler...to Gilmer. Movement was to the northeast at 20 mph. Expect these and other showers and thunderstorms to continue to develop this evening ahead of a slow moving cold front...which extends now from Fort Worth to Fort Smith. Rainfall amounts will generally be less than one tenth of an inch through 8 PM.
