Special Statement
Statement as of 9:40 PM MST on March 01, 2015

... Patchy freezing drizzle... areas of freezing fog... fog will persist
tonight across parts of southeast New Mexico... the Permian Basin...
western Low Rolling Plains...

Across the northern basin and Lea County freezing drizzle and
freezing fog are expected tonight... but it will not be as significant
as the last few nights. Temperatures will be able to fall to around
29 to 32. Visibilities as low as one quarter mile are possible.
There could be some light ice accumulations especially on bridges
and overpasses.

Across the Central Basin mainly fog and drizzle are expected... however
in a few local areas temperatures may fall to 32 so a few patches of
light ice cannot be ruled out. Local visibilities as low as one quarter
mile are possible.

Across the southern basin and parts of The Trans Pecos areas of fog
or drizzle are expected. Local visibilities as low as one quarter
mile are possible.

Light ice accumulations have proven to be very problematic for area
travel... and it is advised to drive cautiously and allow extra time
to reach your destination. Be prepared for low visibility for morning
travel.
