The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River near town Bluff.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Wednesday the stage was 70.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 64.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 71.8 feet by
tomorrow morning. Further rises are possible due to increased
inflows into B.A. Steinhagen Lake.
* Impact... at stages near 70.0 feet... flooding can be expected
around Barlow Lake and Brushy Lake with some roads being cutoff
and some of the lowest properties near the river begin to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River at Rockland, Texas.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 900 am Wednesday the stage was 28.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 29.5 feet by
early Sunday morning then begin falling.
* Impact... at 30.0 feet... high water will flood and close several
roadways especially in the smith's Ferry community. Some low area
homes in the smith's Ferry community will also be threatened with
flooding.

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
northwestern Orange County in southeastern Texas...
east central Hardin County in southeastern Texas...
southern Jasper County in southeastern Texas...

* until 630 PM CDT Friday

* at 845 PM CDT... reporting gauges indicated flooding along the
Neches River from near Weiss Bluff to the saltwater barrier. The
water levels are estimated to be near 14.3 feet and the latest
reading at the saltwater barrier is 5.7 feet. The river is
forecast to rise to 15.3 feet by Sunday morning... and continue to
result in flooding through Friday... June 5.

These water levels will result in moderate flooding to low lying
communities along the river in northwest Orange County from around
Lake View to the saltwater barrier.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lakeview and Weiss Bluff.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
