A powerful upper level storm system will move across the region and bring snow to the metroplex tonight. Snowfall accumulations across the metroplex are expected to remain below an inch... but higher amounts are forecast north and east. In addition to the snow... strong winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph are likely today and tonight... which may result in periods of blowing snow and reduced visibilities.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter precipitation may cause travel difficulties. While Road surfaces will likely be too warm to collect snowfall... visibilities may be reduced to less than 1/2 mile at times. Use caution if traveling.
