Nowcast | as of 8:16 PM CST on February 27, 2015

Snow showers will continue to increase across areas generally north of a Ranger...to Granbury...to Dallas...Rockwall and Greenville line through 11 PM. Some light freezing rain or freezing may mix with snow. An additional an inch or more is possible north of this line where both a Winter Storm Warning and advisory are in effect across these areas through Saturday morning. Much of the precipitation should transition to light freezing drizzle and light sleet after midnight as stronger forcing moves off to the east. Elsewhere to the south and east we expect areas of light freezing rain or drizzle to continue through late evening. Elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses are already treacherous west of a Corsicana to Cameron line and we expect this activity to continue moving northeast toward areas from Palestine to Canton. Travel will be very hazardous throughout the night across most of the region and is strongly discouraged through Saturday morning unless you absolutely have to be out on the roads and highways.
