The Flood Warning continues for
the Trinity River at Dallas.
* At 1000 am Friday the stage was 34.44 feet.
* Flood stage is 30 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to a crest near 36 feet
by Saturday afternoon then begin slowly falling but remain above
flood stage.
* At 35 feet, some low water crossings inundated with cattle and
grazing and low water areas under water.

the Elm Fork Trinity River near Carrollton.
* At 0915 am Friday the stage was 8.16 feet.
* Flood stage is 8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will remain above flood stage near 8.2 feet
for the next few days.
* At 8 feet, minor flooding will occur downstream from the gage.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon
through Sunday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Texas and northeast Texas... including
the following areas... in north central Texas...
Collin... Cooke... Dallas... Denton... Eastland... Erath... Fannin...
Grayson... Hood... Hunt... Jack... Johnson... Montague... Palo
Pinto... Parker... Rockwall... Somervell... Stephens... Tarrant...
wise and Young. In northeast Texas... Delta... Hopkins and Lamar.

* From Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening

* widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to occur
along and north of a line from Cisco... to Cleburne... to
Sulphur Springs Saturday and Sunday. Soils are already
saturated... so it will not take much rainfall to cause flash
flooding.

* Widespread 1 to 3 inches are expected... but localized amounts
up to 6 inches of rainfall are possible.
