The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
north central Bastrop County in south central Texas...
southeastern Williamson County in south central Texas...
northern Lee County in south central Texas...

* until 800 am CDT

* at 422 am CDT... emergency management reported ongoing flash
flooding across the warned area. 4 to 8 inches of rain have fallen
across the area and although the rain has ended... flash flooding
is expected to continue through sunrise. Numerous roads are closed
and water has reached some homes near Elgin... Coupland and
Lexington. Use extreme caution on roadways this morning and never
approach a flooded roadway.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Elgin... Lexington... Dime Box... Coupland... Tanglewood... blue...
Noack... beyarsville... knobb Springs... Old Dime Box... Leo and
Butler.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
