Statement as of 9:21 AM CDT on May 23, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River near Burkburnett.

* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 8:30 am Saturday the stage was 10.1 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Red River will continue rising and crest near 11.7
feet early Tuesday afternoon.

* Impact... at 12 feet... crop and range lands... oil fields... and
rural roads are affected. Some low-lying areas near the river are
isolated by high water in side channels. Bottomlands near Davidson
Oklahoma begin to flood several hours before the crest approaches
the Burkburnett area. The flood crest reaches the area along the
river near Taylor Oklahoma several hours later. Cattle and other
property should be relocated to places which are 3 feet higher than
nearby river banks to avoid being stranded.

... Forecast flooding increased from major to record severity...

the Flood Warning continues for
the Wichita river at Wichita Falls.

* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 8:45 am Saturday the stage was 20.5 feet.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and record flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Wichita river will continue rising to near 25.5 feet
Tuesday evening then begin falling.

* Impact... at 26 feet... in Wichita Falls... extensive flooding occurs
in Harwell and Lucy Parks. Flooding occurs in homes north of third
street and in Tanglewood hollow... and in Scotland Park. Flood
depths of 4 to 6 feet occur in an area north of sixth street and
east of Scott Avenue. Agricultural areas upstream and downstream
from Wichita Falls experience widespread flood depths up to 8 feet.
Floodwaters reach levels about 1.5 feet higher than the June 30...
2007 flood crest.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Beaver Creek near Electra.

* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 9:00 am Saturday the stage was 29.0 feet.

* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Beaver Creek will continue rising and crest near
34.0 feet early Monday morning.

* Impact... at 34 feet... the floodwaters will be as high as the flood
crest which occurred on June 28... 2007. Widespread flood levels up
to 10 feet in depth cover farm and range lands... and may inundate
some oil and gas facilities... along and near the creek in southern
Wilbarger County and southwestern Wichita County.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* all of western... central... and southern Oklahoma... and western
North Texas.

* Through Monday morning

* 2 to 5 inches of rainfall... with locally higher amounts will
be possible.

Monitor weather forecasts and information. Avoid travel in
flooded areas... and make plans to get to higher ground if
flooding develops or worsens in your area.
