Isolated to widely scattered showers with a couple embedded thunderstorms will continue across The Lowlands of southwestern New Mexico and far West Texas through 6 PM MDT. At 345 PM MDT...a few clusters of stronger cells were noted. One cluster was moving through El Paso and southwestern Otero counties. A second cluster was moving from the I-25 corridor around Truth or Consequences into eastern Sierra County. The main threat from these storms will be brief moderate rain...possibly mixed with small hail and wind gusts to 50 mph. Rainfall amounts will generally be under a tenth of an inch...but localized areas could see up to a quarter inch.
