... The Flood Warning continues for
the San Bernard River near Boling...
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0845 am Friday... the stage was 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 22.3 feet by Monday morning
then begin falling Monday night.
* At 22.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins upstream from the gage with
significant backwater flooding up Peach Creek in Wharton County inundating low
lying areas. Minor backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend County
begins.

* Forecast... the river will continue rising to crest around 19 feet today.
The river is expected to fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon.

continues for the Colorado River in Wharton
* until Sunday afternoon... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0315 am Friday the stage was 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 39.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to crest at major flood stage
between 44 and 45 feet on Saturday morning. The crest should
occur two days after the crest at Columbus.
* At 44.0 feet... the school in southwest Wharton is isolated and many
homes in the west part of Wharton are flooded.

the Colorado River near Columbus
* until late Friday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0815 PM Thursday the stage was 40.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is currently cresting and will continue to fall to below
flood stage by tomorrow afternoon.
* At 39.0 feet... at levels above 39 feet moderate lowland flooding begins as
water from Columbus routes to near 18 feet downstream near Eagle Lake and
Garwood closing FM 950 with significant lowland flooding.
