Hot afternoon highs averaging 5 to near 10 degrees above average for June to early July have continued through today... July 10th. So far for the first 10 days of July this year the average afternoon highs have been around 100 to 103.
A brief stretch of hot afternoons showed up in early may this year. So far this year since early may... Austin Mabry and del Rio have had 24 100 degree days... San Antonio International Airport 20 100 degree days... San Antonio Stinson field 27 100 degree days... and Austin Bergstrom 18 100 degree days. The hottest days so far in 2009 were as follows... del Rio 107 may 6th... Austin Mabry 106 on June 25... June 29... and July 8... Austin Bergstrom 107 on June 25... and San Antonio 104 on June 29... July 5... July 8... and July 9. The high of 107 at San Antonio Stinson field on July 5th was the hottest day so far in 2009 at San Antonio Stinson field.
