A weak outflow boundary sinking south at 15 mph will bring a brief wind shift to the north. The outflow will probably stall just to the north of I-10. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will also develop along the outflow from Brenham to Conroe to Livingston. Rainfall amounts will vary greatly but most spots will receive around a quarter inch with a few spots picking up a quick inch of rain. A few of the stronger storms could produce a wind gust to around 30 mph...especially over San Jacinto and Polk counties.

A record high temperature of 102 degrees was set at Houston Intercontinental Airport today. This smashes the previous record of 99 set in 2005. This is the eleventh day this Summer with the temperature reaching or exceeding 100 degrees.
