The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Navasota river near easterly.
* From late tonight to Friday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 0800 am Sunday the stage was 14.55 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river should rise above flood stage by early Monday
morning and continue to rise to a crest near 22 feet by Tuesday
afternoon. The river should fall below flood stage by Thursday
evening.

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect through Monday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* all of north central Texas.

* Through Monday evening

* an upper level disturbance will track through the region
tomorrow and bring another round of severe thunderstorms with
heavy rainfall. The soil is already saturated... so any
additional heavy rainfall will cause flash flooding.

* Average rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts is
expected over north central Texas Monday.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy
rain which may lead to flash flooding. You should monitor the
latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be
prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued for
your area.
