... Flash Flood Watch in effect from Saturday morning through
Sunday morning...

The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of west central Texas...
including the following areas... Brown... Callahan... Coke...
Coleman... Concho... Crockett... Fisher... Haskell... Irion...
Jones... Kimble... Mason... McCulloch... Menard... Nolan...
Runnels... San Saba... Schleicher... Shackelford... Sterling...

* From 10 am Saturday morning through 10 am Sunday morning.

* Widespread showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rainfall
across west central Texas. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
expected... with locally higher amounts. The greatest threat for
flash flooding will be Saturday afternoon into the overnight
hours.

* Rapid runoff from saturated soils will result in flash flooding
of low water crossings... low lying areas... and urban areas.
Additional flooding will be possible along rivers and creeks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that heavy rainfall may lead to flash
flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
