Scattered showers and thunderstorms...some producing very heavy rainfall...will continue across The Big Bend...trans Pecos... and the Davis and Guadalupe Mountains through 9 PM CDT or 8 PM MDT. This activity will generally move to the northwest around 20 mph...with the most persistent rain occurring across northeastern Brewster and western Pecos counties. Rainfall rates of up to one and one half inches per hour will be possible with the stronger activity. Flooding and flash flooding will remain possible... especially across areas with saturated soils.

* In addition to flash flooding... runoff from heavy rainfall in these areas could result in flooding along the Rio Grande River from Candelaria downstream through to the confluence with the Pecos River.
