The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a red flag warning... which is in effect from 1 PM to 9 PM CDT Saturday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
A strong cold front will push through south Texas Saturday afternoon. A combination of strong north/northwesterly 20 foot winds of 20 to 30 mph and relative humidity values at or below 30 percent will develop in wake of the frontal passage... mainly along and west of Highway 281. These conditions will lead to a high fire danger threat.
