The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for sleet and snow... which is in effect from 6
PM this evening to 6 am CST Monday.
* Timing... a mix of rain... snow and sleet will spread from west to
east across North Texas beginning late this afternoon.
Accumulations are most likely to occur between the hours of 7 PM
and midnight... but lingering winter precipitation is possible
through 6 am.
* Main impact... up to an inch of snow is possible across the area
with accumulations primarily confined to elevated and grassy
surfaces. Temperatures are expected to be above freezing and area
roadways are not expected to be impacted.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter
precipitation may cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and plan on some travel delays.
