The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of southwest Texas and West Texas... including the
following areas... in southwest Texas... Pecos and Terrell. In
West Texas... Andrews... Borden... Crane... Dawson... Ector...
Gaines... Glasscock... Howard... Martin... Midland... Mitchell...
Reagan... Scurry... Upton... Ward and Winkler.

* Through this evening

* rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible... with locally
higher amounts of 3 inches.

* Rapid runoff from heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding
of flood prone and urban areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
