... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Monday evening...

The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of northwest Texas and the
Panhandle of Texas... including the following areas... in
northwest Texas... Childress... Cottle and Motley. In the
Panhandle of Texas... Briscoe and Hall.

* Until 7 PM CDT Monday.

* Slow moving thunderstorms with periods of heavy rain will
threaten much of the watch area through Monday.

* Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts are

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
