... Flash Flood Watch now in effect from 9 PM CDT this evening
through Saturday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the following
counties

* Childress... Cottle... Crosby... Dickens... Floyd... Garza... Hale...
Kent... King... Lubbock... Lynn... Motley... Stonewall... Briscoe... Hall
and Swisher.

* From 9 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning

* a complex of thunderstorms will develop this evening and move
southeast into the rolling plains later tonight. Additional
thunderstorms are expected in the wake of this complex through
Saturday morning.

* After recent heavy rains... additional heavy rainfall could
readily produce flooding of urban areas... along rivers and
creeks and other flood prone areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
