A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect from noon today
to midnight CST tonight.
* Event... snow is expected across the eastern Texas and Oklahoma
panhandles this afternoon and tonight. Snowfall accumulations of 1
to 3 inches are possible over the eastern panhandles.
* Timing... snow will move into the eastern Texas and Oklahoma
panhandles early this afternoon. Snow will continue through the evening
hours before tapering off around midnight.
* Impacts... roads and bridges may become slick from the snow...
leading to hazardous travel conditions. In addition... southerly
winds of 15 to 25 mph may occasionally reduce visibilities due to
blowing snow.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
