The majority of the activity is currently confined along and south of Interstate 40 in Arkansas and southwest Tennessee. Decatur County in Tennessee... eastern Henderson County in southwest Tennessee... * until 500 PM CDT * at 307 PM CDT National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated very heavy rain over the advisory area. Over the past 3 hours... National Weather Service Doppler radar estimates that 1 to 3 inches of rainfall has fallen across the affected area. Locations affected by the urban and small stream flood advisory include Natchez Trace State Forest... Natchez trace State Park... Darden... Decaturville... Parsons and Reagan. Precautionary/preparedness actions... .Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the advisory area. .Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams... and ponding of water on country roads and farmland along the banks of creeks and streams. .In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain.
