Through 3 am EST (2 am cst)...light to moderate rain will continue to move north across east Tennessee...southwest Virginia...and extreme southwest North Carolina. Rainfall amounts will range from one tenth to one quarter of an inch per hour. However...a few bands of heavier rain could produce amounts between one half inch and one inch per hour. As of midnight...the back edge of the rainfall was along the western edge of the Tennessee Valley. Rainfall should end in the next couple hours across Chattanooga. Knoxville still has several hours remaining...and the Tri-Cities area can expect the rainfall to continue overnight.
