Through 12 am EST (11 PM cst)...light to moderate rain will continue to move north across east Tennessee...southwest Virginia...and extreme southwest North Carolina. Rainfall amounts will range from one tenth to one quarter of an inch per hour. However...a few bands of heavier rain could produce amounts between one half inch and one inch per hour. As of 9 PM EST...the back edge of the rainfall is beginning to work its way east of the Cumberland Plateau...and will continue to slowly exit the region overnight.

The National Weather Service in Morristown, TN has issued a * Flood Warning for the Little Pigeon River in Sevierville TN * from late tonight to late Wednesday night. * At 8:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 4.7 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Flodd stage for the Little Pigeon River is 11.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage around 5 am Wednesday and crest near 13.0 feet around 1 PM Wednesday. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow evening.
