Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to move east through the mid south...affecting the Missouri bootheel...west Tennessee and north Mississippi. Some storms will contain frequent lightning and brief heavy rain and the possibility of small hail. The stronger storms remain over Coahoma...Tallahatchie and Yalobusha counties in Mississippi. The rest of the area will see mainly showers and isolated thunderstorms. Rainfall will generally be under a quarter inch with up to a half of an inch in the stronger storms... through 2 PM. Movement is to the east at 30 mph. East Arkansas and extreme southwest Tennessee and extreme northwest Mississippi will remain rain free now through at least mid afternoon.
